Welcome to my official Web site. Feel free to look around.

My name is R.A. Williams, and my friends sometimes call me "Squeaky". I am a guitarist, composer, and music teacher. I perform chiefly in the Albuquerque area but have been known to travel. I also offer guitar and music theory instruction either in my studio or on a mobile basis.

Performance
I play electric and acoustic guitar and am familiar with several popular styles. On electric guitar, I typically perform rock or else blues-influenced jazz. On the acoustic guitar I play both pick style and finger style. If you click the "Performance Projects" link to the left you will see some of the services I offer. I'm available as an accompanist, a soloist, a side player for an existing band, or for recording projects.

Composition
In addition to my original work, I offer made-to-order songs and music. If you are a songwriter, I can set your lyrics to music. I can also arrange existing music by creating appropriate accompaniments for your melodies. The music notation software I use (Finale) creates both professional quality sheet music and excellent Wave file output that you can use as a demonstration track.

I am registered with the MusicLink Foundation and offer reduced cost lessons to students who meet MusicLink criteria.

Instruction
I teach the Principles guitar method developed by my teacher, Jamie Andreas. Options include both in-studio instruction and mobile instruction on the west side of Albuqueruqe. Within a limited geographical area, I can and will teach in the student's home.

So far as I know, I'm the only music teacher in the city to offer a limited money-back guarantee for my private students. You can find out more about how I teach by following the links to the left. I also teach music theory and notation.

Volunteer Activities
Check the link to the left for a list of my favorite charitable organizations and volunteer activities. I also offer my teaching services through the MusicLink Foundation, and when my schedule permits I perform at a substantially reduced fee to qualifying charities, schools, or other not-for-profit groups.

Please feel free to click on my "Frequently Asked Questions" page for more information about me and about the music I compose, perform, and teach.
